The 3D Builder app can be used to make slight modifications from a library of 3D objects like simple toys, household items, miniatures and seasonal objects. You can also load existing CAD projects into the app, but, unfortunately, the ability to create 3D printed models inside the app is lacking. Here’s the app’s description from  the Windows Store: Not too many folks have a 3D printer at home, mainly because their prices have to climb down so that more users could afford it. Until then, 3D printers are used more by enterprises. For them, the inclusion of 3D printing support in Windows 8.1 is a much welcome upgrade and now using this app they can easily print to their Windows 8 compatible printers.
