How can I rotate buildings in AoE 4?

Lately, a new question emerged and fans are more and more curious as to what the answer to this question is. A lot of people have been asking if it is possible to actually rotate the buildings we have available in the game. If we really think about it, quite a few base-building RTS games actually allow you to rotate buildings in whatever way you see fit. For example, for management and city-building games, rotating buildings is somewhat essential for optimal planning and placement. However, going back to Age of Empires 4, it is currently not possible to rotate a building. The only thing you can do, which is slightly related to this, is to rotate the camera perspective. This way, you will be able to see all four sides of any given structure and then some, but after you place it down on the ground, there’s nothing you can do but accept the pre-set rotation. And yes, one might think this is a major step back but in truth, there is no real need for the feature to exist in the first place. Creators have built each AoE map in a way where the landscape moulds itself to what you build, so the whole building rotation thing becomes kind of redundant. Also, each of the buildings has a square base meaning there’s no risk of overlapping and the game simply won’t allow it and rotation wouldn’t fix the issue. So, unfortunately, no rotation for us in Age of Empires 4 for the time being, But who’s to say that someone won’t come up with a mod that would allow you to do just that, in the future? Especially now that so many have actually asked if such a thing is possible in the game. We’ll just have to wait and see if this will become a reality. What other features that aren’t present in the game so far would you like to see in the future? Share your opinion with us in the comments section below.
