Sync your Microsoft Band on desktop Windows devices
The app will work on Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8 Pro and above, by which, of course, we mean Windows 8.1 and the upcoming Windows 10. Microsoft also informs us that it syncs faster than with your phone while your device is charging over USB. By downloading the desktop client, you will be able to get updates and restore the software on your Band, as well. It’s interesting to observe, as you can see in the above screenshot, that the Microsoft Band seems to be part of the Xbox team, as we see the Xbox logo there.
