Microsoft is pushing numbers
This led Windows 10 installation numbers to stop growing at the same rate. Before ending the promotion, Microsoft recorded around 400 million PC already using Windows 10. Once Windows 10 needed to be purchased, Microsoft didn’t release any further information to suggest that OS installation numbers were any better. As far as personal computers and normal users go, studies show that most of them had no problem in quickly making up their minds about which OS version they preferred and wanted to use. Having that information early one allowed them to quickly upgrade. Others might not have wanted to upgrade but were caught in the middle of one anyway. Now, Microsoft is looking at the business sector as the next in line to receive a mass deployment of the OS.
Market shares will grow eventually
In the aftermath of extensive research, it was concluded that most companies and enterprises plan on upgrading to Windows 10 somewhere along the lines of three to four years from now. There are also many companies looking to upgrade sooner, as soon as 12 months. Since its release, Microsoft has aggressively pushed Windows 10 to ensure it becomes the universal solution as far as operating systems go. The most popular Windows version to date in the eyes of many, Windows 7, recently lost extended support so that more users could be swayed to join the Windows 10 ranks.
