As such, you can use it to download and launch games, manage your gaming library, chat with friends, see achievemnets etc. However, it would seems that some users are having problems with Uplay’s ability to download games. Some users have reported that Uplay isn’t downloading content to their bandwidth‘s full potential.
What to do if Uplay is not downloading at full speed?
1. Run Uplay with administrative rights
2. Turn off your Windows Firewall while running Uplay
3. Check to see if you have enough disk space for your game
4. Run the game while in Selective startup
Before you start, remember to have Uplay opened with administrator rights
5. Throttle download bandwidth
Other users report that they are having problems downloading games which are linked with a Steam Account. This issue ties in with a more general issue plaguing Uplay, in that it has compatibility issues with other game distribution platforms. A response was quick to come from the Ubisoft support staff, stating that: This means that if you bought a game via Steam, you can only install it on Steam (even if it is a Ubisoft title).
