The expansion is set in the primordial mists of the Un’Goro crater. Players will accompany Elise Starseeker as she leads an expedition to explore the region. She’ll encounter dinosaurs, raging elementals and unusually active plants that have adapted to the needs of the situation with impressive new powers. Blizzard Entertainment hasn’t offered any information about the expansion’s exact release date, saying only that it would arrive in early April 2017. Thanks to a resourceful fan, however, we now know exactly when the Un’Goro expansion is released.

Hearthstone Un’Goro expansion lands April 6th

Setting your Windows clock to 10AM on April 6th is a handy little trick to force the Un’goro packs to become openable. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the game will crash when you actually try to open the pack. You won’t lose the pack if you try to open it, but you’ll need to restart your BNet client to successfully relaunch the game. Of course, the fact the pack becomes openable if you set the clock to April 6th could only mean that’s the planned release date. Blizzard could easily adjust that date before or after. After all, on the pack, it says that the release date is mid-April. For this reason, some players believe that Blizzard has actually delayed the release. On the other hand, many fans are convinced that the extension will arrive indeed on April 6 and that Blizzard’s new strategy now is to under promise and over deliver.
