Improvements for thebrowser
Edge got its appearance revamped with Fluent Design elements, and these are obviously taking over the Windows 10 desktop interface. Edge now has a depth effect for the active tab in order to help highlight it clearer than before. There’s also a new Microsoft Edge Beta logo that has BETA stamped across it just to remind testers that they’re using an unfinished product and should not be surprised in case they’re greeted by bugs. The most commonly used items in the Settings menu are placed at the top to make it easier to use. There are also more customization options added.
Skype new features
Build 17704 brings new calling features which include the ability to take screenshots during a call. The screen sharing button has been moved to a more comfortable location, and more customization is available for group calls. There are also some interface updates that will make your contacts easier to access. Overall, Skype seems to become a more streamlined experience.
Security updates
Under Virus & Threat Protection, there’s a new Block Suspicion Behaviors capability which leverages Windows Defender Exploit Guard technology’s capabilities to protect users. The Windows Diagnostic Data Viewer allows users to view any Problem Reports that have been sent to Microsoft. It basically logs all details regarding crashes or other glitches. The Task Manager now allows you to see any apps that are draining your system’s battery. New Typing Insights details the ways in which AI has been supporting you with functions such as autocorrect for virtual keyboard users.
