Skype gets a bunch of new features

The new features are meant to help users do more in Skype without wasting any precious time. Draft messages, the ability to preview media and files before sending them, and split windows are just some of the new features. Message drafts With this new feature, any message that you typed but didn’t sent is saved in the current conversation and marked with the [draft] tag. You have the ability to finish and send the message later, even if you close the Skype app. Message Bookmarks You now have the ability to bookmark any message in Skype. Right-clicking any message will show the option Add bookmark. After clicking it, your message will be added and saved to the Bookmarks screen. Preview media and files before sending  In a conversation, if you select any media and files that you want to share, you’ll see them displayed in the message panel. Of course, as it’s the case with other messaging apps, you’ll be able to remove or add more files. Furthermore, if you want to add an explanation or a description to your photos, videos, or other files that you’re sharing, just type the message and it will be sent with your files. New approach for displaying multiple photos or videos sent at once If you send multiple photos or videos, they’ll be displayed as an album in the chat history. Clicking on them will make them fullscreen and you’ll be able to navigate through your photos just like in any other photo viewer. Split window The new split window feature is available with the latest version of Skype on Windows, Mac, and Linux, but it’s not available in mobile or web versions. With it, you can open your contact list in one window, and multiple conversations in separate windows. If you want to know more about the feature, check out this page. If you want to download the Skype app for Windows 10, you can get it from the Microsoft Store. Skype for Desktop is available on Skype’s official download page.
