The new Lenovo Yoga 900S sacrifices speed and a few ports to be slimmer and more accessible. It should be easier to carry around now, but it is left to be seen if the speed decrease will hurt its prospects against the Yoga 900, or if computer users will choose form factor and weight over raw power. This device is the slimmest Yoga Lenovo has ever created, which is great for the future because we expect more designs similar to this one in other products. The device only weighs around 2.2 pounds and comes in only two colors, Champagne Gold and Platinum Silver. Consumers can get one of two options when it comes to its screen: there’s the 1080p display and the much better 1440p display. Both are touchscreens with the main downside being an overly glossy finish. We would have preferred if the finish was matte seeing as glossy doesn’t perform well in direct and indirect sunlight. Now, seeing as this is a Yoga, it can be folded into a tablet and other form factors due to the 360° hinge. We expect the inclusion of Lenovo’s watchband hinge to continue being the smoothest and most responsive hinge on the market today. We definitely recommend the beautifully designed Lenovo Yoga 900S to anyone seeking a new Windows 10 2-in-1. If you’re into raw power over accessibility, the Yoga 900 might be right up your alley.
