Microsoft previously planned to end support for Windows 10 version 1507 this year on March 27th. The company didn’t offer any reason for this delay, but we assume it was because it wanted to notify users about “Windows as a service” and possibly give users time to upgrade to the the Creators Update. Users of the Home, Education, Pro, and Enterprise version of Windows 10 currently running version 1507 will be affected and won’t be receive security updates from that point forward, but it seems that the users of Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2015 LTSB will not be affected. Microsoft already extended its typical 60-day grace period for Windows 10 version 1507, but the time has come to end support for this OS.
Ditch Windows 10 version 1507 and install the Creators Update
Running version 1507 without support involves some risks. The OS will no longer receive security and quality updates and devices running version 1507 will become more vulnerable to viruses and security risks. Microsoft recommends users to manually upgrade their devices. If you’re running Windows 10 version 1507, connect to the internet, go to the Windows Update website and select the “Update now” option in order to get the latest Windows 10 and avoid potential security issues.
