Old-school Skype users are getting warning emails

Microsoft began notifying users who are still having fun with the old version of Skype for devices running Windows 10, advising them to upgrade to a newer version or else… By or else we mean that if they don’t upgrade to the latest version of Skype, they risk losing all their conversions.

Save the date – May 25

May 25 is the day that will mark the new GDPR rules coming into force, and this may be the reason for which Microsoft chose this date to discontinue old Skype for Windows 10. It’s also important to note that Microsoft is not even the only company that decided to discontinue old services. This shouldn’t come as a shock or a surprise, considering that it’s always recommended to use the latest version of any software on the market because it’s likely to contain the updated security features and more necessary functionalities.
