The new update for Windows 10 v1703 brings a couple of bug fixes and system improvements, just like it was expected. In fact, the only change visible to every user is the version number. Namely, cumulative update KB4016871 changes the version number from 15063.296 to 15063.297. As for the bug fixes, we’re sure that users who experienced these flaws in the first place will be glad to receive the workarounds. Perhaps the biggest change is the fix for the issue with Surface Hub randomly waking up devices from sleep. Additionally, there are some improvements for Microsoft Edge, Arch Touch mouse, and more. Furthermore, update KB4016871 also brings security updates for various Windows 10 features, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Windows Kernel, the .NET Framework, and more. Here’s the complete changelog of the update:

“Addressed issue with Surface Hub devices waking from sleep approximately every four minutes after the first two hours.  Addressed issue where autochk.exe can randomly skip drive checks and not fix corruptions, which may lead to data loss.  Addressed an issue where Microsoft Edge users in networking environments that do not fully support the TCP Fast Open standard may have problems connecting to some websites. Users can re-enable TCP Fast Open in about:flags.   Addressed issues with Arc Touch mouse Bluetooth connectivity. Security updates to Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows SMB Server, Windows COM, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows kernel, Windows Server, and the .NET Framework.”

Besides cumulative update KB4016871 for Windows 10 Creators Update, this month’s Patch Tuesday also brings updates for other supported versions of Windows 10, including Windows 10 version 1607, and Windows 10 version 10 version 1511, and the initial version of the system. To obtain the new cumulative update, go to Windows Update, and check for updates. The update is also available on the Update Catalog.
