What to expect from this year’s BUILD Conference
For the last few years, Microsoft has had some big things to announce, like Windows 8.1 or plans for Android and iOS apps on Windows 10. This year, we expect this year to be quieter. Microsoft is expected to mainly focus on its latest operating system, Windows 10, with a sprinkling of exciting news about the company’s VR device, HoloLens. While Windows 10 will certainly be a topic of this year’s conference, we don’t expect any drastic changes or spotlight features. Some possible news might center on Live Tile enhancements, Cortana improvements, and maybe one or two new Redstone features. With regards to the Xbox platform, Microsoft might finally reveal more details about its plans for improved integration between two platforms. HoloLens could easily steal the show at this year’s BUILD conference. With the developer version of the headset starting to ship this week, we should expect to hear a lot about it at the event. Perhaps Microsoft will unveil some previously unknown features or software, like some new apps for HoloLens. As for Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft announced and released pretty much everything related to its mobile OS already. Windows 10 Mobile is here and new devices are here, so Microsoft might talk about its future plans for the platform at the conference. The company could be preparing a surprise for us, too. Only time will tell… So, if you’re a Microsoft enthusiast or you simply love tech, cancel all your plans for this Wednesday, because BUILD 2016 will be live!
