This is a very wise decision from Microsoft taking into account that small and medium enterprises spend around $70 billion every year on desktop software and applications. This new feature in the Windows Store for Business allows the two participants to reach each other faster and end deals more rapidly. By taking this step, Microsoft is showing how committed it is to developers and organizations. The new feature is, of course, available for developers from supported countries/regions; if needed, you can check out the list of countries here. For the time being, organizations can purchase apps in volume with credit cards only. In the near future,  other purchase options will be added such as: invoicing, volume discounts, and organizational in-app purchases. Payouts for organizational purchases work in the same manner as consumer purchases. You can find all the transaction payout information in your Payout Statement in Dev Center.  All the apps purchased via the Windows Store for Business platform will appear in your Dev Center reports under the label of “Volume acquisitions by organizations”. Microsoft has been focusing heavily on improving the app area for businesses. The company is working on various business projects such as Project Madeira, or the recent Project Server to help companies stay productive. Rivalry is also fierce in the business fields with Google disclosing its plans to steal 80% of Microsoft’s business customers. In this business battle, Microsoft is also gambling on its ability to convince business users to upgrade to Windows 10. Taken into account the threats from competition, the Redmond giant will definitely bring other important updates and features to its business clients park in the near future.
