The modernized MCS suite strives to fulfill growing data center needs by taking Windows Server 2019 management and deployment to a larger scale. Data Protection Manager

Actually, this app received some negative critique from the public in the past. However, some issues have been addressed in the new version. This now promises a 75% faster backup and less storage space consumption alongside other features like backups for such new workloads (SharePoint 2019 and Exchange 2019) and of VMware VMs to tape.

Operations Manager

System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) continues to serve as a reliable tool to monitor Microsoft and third-party workloads. The modernization package in the SCOM web console focuses on offering a more user-friendly layout. It now offers an extended monitoring console with drill down experiences and HTML5 dashboards. Some of the other noteworthy Service Manager improvements relate to an updated version of Active Directory (AD) connector, which enables a stable connection with specific domain controllers. Also, clients will be able to run 64-bit cmdlets since PowerShell V 4.0 (and above) which are now supported by Orchestrator. On a final note, following customer feedback, Microsoft decided to change its release priorities for System Center. The focus will once again be on the Long Term Servicing Channel, with a prospect of semi-annual upgrades, while dropping the Semi-Annual Channel, which failed to win over the public.
