The rollup aims at updating the .NET Framework with the latest security and quality improvements for a better user experience. The .NET Framework Monthly Rollup will be available only for the following system versions: Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2. Microsoft hopes that these monthly update eliminate update fragmentation among Windows systems, thus reducing the number of issues reported by users. Microsoft took this decision following users’ feedback, as many Windows users have revealed they want a simple and common way to install updates across all supported .NET Framework versions and operating systems. The tech giant heard its users’ request and their wish will soon come true. It would be great if Microsoft reacted as promptly in regards to all the other user requests.
