Windows 10 19H2 is out in the Release Preview ring

This is slightly unusual, but the tech giant is doing that to test the throttled approach for the release of the build. It’s worth mentioning that this isn’t the final 19H2 build. Furthermore, around 10% of the Insiders in the Release Preview ring will get a Windows 10 v1909 update available through Windows Update, and they will be able to download and install it. After the update, they will be on 19H2 Build 18363.327. This won’t be the same as the latest 19H2 builds 18362.10014 and 18362.10015 that rolled out to Slow Ring Insiders recently.

Build numbers will change for 19H2

To deliver 19H2 as a feature update, Microsoft is changing up the build numbers as explained in their announcement: As we already mentioned, the 19H2 Build 18363.327 is not final yet, and won’t have all the 19H2 features that are currently in the Slow ring. Keep in mind that because of the difference of 19H2 update packages between Slow and Release Preview rings, Insiders in the Slow ring won’t be able to switch to the Release Preview. If you’re in the Release Preview ring, be sure to check for updates and see if you’re one of the lucky ones that get the new build.
