Now, Microsoft finally incorporated a feature that speeds up large file uploads on Windows 10 by making available an option to not limit the speed, found under the Network tab. However, it seems that this feature is not available for all Windows 10 users — not even for all Insiders. The only way to see if this option is available on your computer is to go to OneDrive’s Settings menu and open the Network tab. Microsoft has yet to issue a statement regarding the changes made under the Network tab. Therefore, we can assume the feature was randomly made available to users. OneDrive is now a UWP app and is more similar to the web version of the service than to its desktop version. Besides browsing your OneDrive files and folders, you’ll be able to restore files from the Recycle Bin, drag and drop files to the app to upload, find files shared with you by others, and more. When you are working with many files, though, you might find that the service’s 5GB free storage plan isn’t enough. Even worse, Microsoft did away with the 15GB free storage plan in favor of the 5GB plan, limiting storage capacity for its user. Naturally, many users do not agree with Microsoft’s latest move. At the same time, they are not desperate because they know there is a trick that allows you to increase the OneDrive storage from 5GB back to 15GB using referrals.
