The Ink math assistant in OneNote allows you to handwrite an equation. Then, it converts it to text and will also show you how to solve it. The tool simply lists all the steps necessary to solve the equation. In this manner, you can actually learn how to solve particular equation types. The new feature is the right choice for autodidacts as they can analyze the steps required to solve the equation on their own. All you have to do is write down the algebra or trigonometry problem, highlight it using the lasso feature, select the math button and the solution will appear on the right-hand side of the screen.
The math assistant in OneNote is available for Office 365 subscribers using OneNote for Windows 10. The August update for OneNote brings two more new features to the table: the replay feature as well as new ink effects. Ink Replay lets users rewind and replay sequences of handwritten notes and drawings. This feature is extremely useful especially for step-by-step instructions or to see the order in which somebody else marked up a document. Microsoft always listens to users suggestions and following feedback from students, the Office Team added new rainbow, galaxy, gold and silver ink options to make learning in OneNote even more fun.
