Microsoft recently discovered a security flaw in the operating system and named it Microarchitectural Data Sampling (MDS). The company quickly patched the issue in KB4499165 and KB4499151. At the time of writing this article, Windows 8.1 users have not reported any installation issues. However, you should avoid installing new security updates for about 2-3 weeks just in case some major issues went under the radar. Don’t forget to always back up your system before installing the May 2019 Patch Tuesday updates....

It seems that with KB4519338 Microsoft focused on improving security when using Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge, as well as some improvements with username and password recognition. News and rumors related to the abandoning of the current Edge browser have been doing rounds since December last year. At that time Microsoft started planning to use Chromium rendering engines to rebuild the browser from scratch. The Big M accidentally pushed this Windows 10 internal version to all Insiders. However, there’s a catch: this is a 32-bit machine compatible build. Nevertheless, x86 Slow Ring Insiders confirmed the build is available on their machines as well. The build was compiled only a few days ago and has not even been tested internally. This means that some Insiders might experience severe technical issues after install. So, proceed at your own risk....

The new update for Windows 10 v1703 brings a couple of bug fixes and system improvements, just like it was expected. In fact, the only change visible to every user is the version number. Namely, cumulative update KB4016871 changes the version number from 15063.296 to 15063.297. As for the bug fixes, we’re sure that users who experienced these flaws in the first place will be glad to receive the workarounds....
