However, this might change sometime soon. Recently, someone asked Phil Spencer if other original Xbox games would ever make it into the backward compatibility program. He replied that while the team is not currently working on such compatibility, he also added that he wants to find the time to do this. The current Xbox One backward compatibility program brings you the opportunity to play the older Xbox 360 titles. To make things even better, you are also able to take advantage of current Xbox One features like in-home streaming to Windows 10, Game DVR and Screenshots. These games can also be played in multiplayer mode with your friends that still play them on the old Xbox 360 console. This is great, especially if you have friends who haven’t decided yet to purchase the Xbox One console. If Phil Spencer decides to expand the program, we might see some original Xbox games released for the Xbox One like Halo, Fable or The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. However, let’s not forget Spencer hasn’t confirmed he would do this. Still, let’s just hope he will find “the time” he was talking about to carry out his plan. Would you want to see older original Xbox games to be released for the Xbox One console? Give us a few examples. RELATED STORIES TO CHECK OUT:
