“#WindowsInsiders: if you don’t want to start receiving RS5 builds, you should switch to Release Preview TODAY. Both WIP Fast and Slow will see RS5 builds…. why, yes, SOON ™,” Dona Sarkar posted on Twitter together with a GIF with excited cats. It’s recommended that you switch to the Release Preview ring unless you want to receive early versions of the next Windows 10 update scheduled to be launched in the fall.

Get ready for May 8

The automatic rollout of Windows 10 April 2018 Update will begin on May 8. The manual download was made available on April 30. Windows 10 Redstone 5 is scheduled to be ready by September and rolled out to users who are not included in the Windows Insider Program only in October. The update will bring significant improvements and new features and there will probably be a considerable amount because Microsoft just began working on this new OS update. Patch Tuesday which is scheduled for next week is set to bring a few fixes and security patches. This will take place on the very same day when the company begins the rollout to the first wave of computers via Windows Update. RELATED STORIES TO CHECK OUT:
