UserVoice is one of the most popular forums where Microsoft collects information on any updates released and feedback on new features. Users on Twitter first noticed that they could no longer access the forums and that all the data in the feedback tools was also missing. The UserVoice calendar forum was shut down earlier, but users could still access it via the app, but now, none is available.
Reason behind shutdown
Microsoft is still directing users to the site, although they cannot access it. When asked about the shutdown, they had this to say; The message seemed a little vague on Microsoft’s end, but from speculations, it seems the company is looking to move to internal tools. Whereas this is a great move, it was not in order not to inform their users that they will no longer be able to access these forums.
UserVoice pages to be shut down
The Office 365 UserVoice page has been updated and notifies users that all pages will be shut down soon. Perhaps the biggest challenge is that all the data shared in these forums will also be lost. These forums formed a community online that helped each other navigate new features and get to learn about new updates. Maybe a bigger feedback forum will be launched, but we can only wait and see.
