The app is freely downloadable from the Windows Store and it works great on any touch screen device, so you can have it with you everywhere you go. Also, it provides users with some nice features for creating custom music.

Sound Pad for Windows 10, Windows 8 – Creating Tunes

As we’ve mentioned, the app is freely downloadable from the Windows Store, and one thing that we loved about it is that even if it is free, there are no ads in the app that will annoy you. The developers have really thought about the pleasure of the the users and we thank them for that.

When you open the app, you will go directly into the “mixing area”, where you have all your tools to start creating your own custom beats. Everything the app has to offer is on this single scree, and might I say, very neatly designed. Starting from the left side, you will see all the volume rockers for each individual track, while on the opposite side, you will find the controls. The user has at his disposal a volume control unit that allows him to mute all the channels at once or crank them up to full power. It would have been nice to see a 50% volume button here also, or a custom volume button where the user can add in his own value, but nevertheless, very useful. Also here, you can find the so called “Panic Button” which stops the sounds but without interfering with the volume (essentially, a stop button).

Underneath the Volume Control, you can find the Samples area, where you have the option to add your own sounds to each of the 16 channels that it has. This is great for those who want to create unique sounds. By pressing the “Change Samples” button you bring up the panel with all of the channels, and you can change any of them by clicking on it. When you do this, the app opens the default file explorer and you have to browse for the sounds to replace the default ones. At the bottom, you find the Metronome switch, which when started, it continuously plays a generic drum sound. This can come in handy if you want a constant beet in your music. SPONSORED The main portion of the window is occupied by the Sample Pads. This is where the magic happens. Each of these 16 pads has its own sound and when you want to start creating music, all you have to do is start tapping or clicking on them. To my surprise, there is no record function, which is quite a drawback if you ask me, as you cannot save any of the music you create.

Overall, Sound Pad for Windows 10, Windows 8 is a very nice way to have some fun. If you enjoy making music, then you should definitely give it a try. With a few enhancements, it can be a great music app, and we hope the developer will add these missing features soon.
