This is the second series of updates that Microsoft rolls out to its Surface device, after the company pushed a series of Intel camera driver updates for the Surface Book and the Surface Pro 4, eliminating many annoying Windows Hello issues in the process. The camera updates are only available for Insiders; the current stability updates are available for all users.

The Surface Book received the following three driver updates:

Microsoft driver update for Surface UEFI: v89.1203.768.0 improves system stability when the device resumes operation from sleep or hibernation, and optimizes battery use in connected standby. Microsoft driver update for Surface Base Firmware Update: v1.2.104.0 reduces the occurrence of unexpected shutdowns while the device is sleeping. Microsoft driver update for Surface Integration: v1.1.291.0 resolves issues where the touchscreen remains active when the clipboard is closed against the keyboard.

The Surface Pro 4 received the following two driver updates:

Microsoft driver update for Surface UEFI: v105.1203.768.0 improves system stability when the device resumes operation from sleep or hibernation and optimizes battery use in connected standby. Microsoft driver update for Surface Integration: v1.0.81.0 resolves issues where the touchscreen remains active when the cover is closed against the screen.

As always, these updates are installed automatically on your Surface device through Windows Update. You can also install them manually: Microsoft’s dedication to improving the user experience for Surface Book and Surface Pro4 users is rooted in the success of its devices. In Q1, Surface sales grew by 61%, driven by the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4. RELATED STORIES YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT:
