Recently, we have come across with the supposed specs of the possible Surface phone, along with speculation that Microsoft might be working on releasing at least two Surface Phone variants rather than one (though some websites point towards three); a 4 GB RAM model along with a 6 GB one. Here’s a brief overview of their common features, via NokiaPowerUser;
a Snapdragon 835 processor and support for Quick charging 4.0 support for continuum (6GB model only) Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) displays of around 5.5-inches several laptop accessories including a detachable keyboard and a stylus pen
Though the information is not concrete solid, consumers can’t help but get eager about the possible successor of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 which has been out for over a year now. There are several other takes on the specifications of the Surface Phone on various other sites, implying the addition of an OLED screen and something armed with fingerprint security. Moreover, it is said that Microsoft could bring x86 emulation to Windows 10 ARM64 devices with Redstone 3 next fall. Seems like Microsoft might be done with their Lumia series, but they are certainly not ready to give up on their smartphone manufacturing line. Looking at facts, Microsoft currently has somewhere around 1 percent of the mobile market, so another attempt at smartphone business wouldn’t really hurt, of course, if they somehow get it perfect this time. A successful smartphone release from the company would definitely provide some consolation to the Windows phone devotees, after suffering the loss of their beloved Lumia phones.
