Now, I can’t even connect to the app. As you can see in the screenshot below, Telegram is stuck in a connecting loop but nothing actually happens. After a quick Google search, I found out I’m not the only one affected by this problem. Telegram officially acknowledged the problem and confirmed it’s working on a fix: We’ll update this articles as soon as new information is available. UPDATE: It appears that a power outage at a Telegram server cluster is causing these issues in Europe. Pavel Durov, Telegram’s CEO and founder said that his team is working to fix it from their side, but a lot depends on when the datacenter provider puts the power equipment in order. UPDATE 2: Beware of ETH scams! Fake profile users pretend to hold ETH giveways as a means to apology for this technical issues. Do not send any ETH to these users.  It’s a scam. UPDATE 3: Telegram appears to have experienced another downtime since the last time. This time, according to Down Detector, the reports have been significantly higher compared to last time. Telegram took to Twitter to announce that things were back to normal again after about an hour.
