The snipping tool specifically needs to be fixed. In the latest version, users are able to take screenshots and make annotations in real time.  Once the users made the update to Windows 11, they were not able to make use of the snipping tool properly.  What’s new  There were many tools integrated into the new Windows update. Users can now be able to make use of the snipping tool in two ways, the first one is using the icon or by pressing a combination of specific keys that help launch the snipping tool.  Despite these efforts, users are yet to access the application. All these efforts have been rendered futile. Users indicate that when they try launching the app using the icon, the app crashes.  Users have not been successful using the key combination to launch the application, the tool refuses to open yet again.  Identified setbacks  Therefore, users that made the Windows 11 update are not able to capture any screenshots using the tool. This issue hinders people from running their daily activities both at school and work.  Microsoft has identified the issues facing the users who made the update to Windows 11, specifically when it comes to the snipping tool.  According to Microsoft, there is an issue with the Microsoft digital certificate. As such, Microsoft has plans underway to ensure that they are able to remedy the situation. However, they have not placed a timestamp on when they intend to make this release.  Plausible alternatives  But in the meantime, Microsoft has recommended a workaround to ensure that the users are fully accommodated. The hack is to make use of the Print Screen Key on the keyboard and paste the screenshot on the document. Users can also paste it into the Paint to select and copy the item to the desired section. Users are urged to wait on the new developments by Microsoft.  The workaround On November 8, Microsoft confirmed that the issue is now a thing of the past thanks to the out-of-band KB5008295 update. Update to this version to be able to bypass this issue! Have you experienced this issue before? Let us know how it has affected you in the comment section below.
