Among all other compatibility issues, users are reporting that they’re unable to connect to the internet using Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adapter, which appears to doesn’t work well with Windows 10. The prompt showed by the control software says that Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adapter isn’t compatible with the system, and the issue started to appear in June, upon the release of Get Windows 10 feature for Windows 7/8.1. Now, six months after, the issue still persists.

Still No Workaround for Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adapter Compatibility Issue with Windows 10

People from Microsoft are aware of the problem, and they tried to provide users with the solution on Community forums, but that solution wasn’t effective, and users became even more frustrated. “The helpful thing to do would be to find out if such drivers are available and, if so, supply a link to where they may be downloaded and, if not, get on to the Windows 10 development team to ensure people aren’t going to unexpectedly lose their internet connections when their PC automatically upgrades. As it is, those of us with this issue are no better off than if MS support had chosen to simply ignore this query,” one user of Microsoft Community forum said. These incompatibility issues are one of the main reasons users decide not to upgrade to Windows 10, or at least delay the upgrade. And if Microsoft wants its plat to make all users to upgrade to Windows 10 to succeed, the company will need to work with manufacturers to provide all necessary software, and give users a stable, issues-free operating system.
