Microsoft already announced that Windows 10 would remain free for assistive technologies users, but hasn’t done anything to prevent other users from taking advantage of this exception. In other words, even if you are not using a computer running assistive technologies, you can pretend you are and upgrade to Windows 10 for free. It appears that Microsoft doesn’t perform any verification at all to make sure your computer is running assistive technologies. This loophole practically allows all Windows users to upgrade for free whenever they want. We’re not sure whether Microsoft left this loophole on purpose or not, so as to allow more users to upgrade to Windows 10. It does seem very unlikely that the tech giant is not aware of the existence of this loophole. If you want to upgrade to Windows 10 for free, go to Microsoft’s page and hit the Upgrade now button. Although Microsoft hasn’t revealed when exactly the free upgrade offer for customers using assistive technologies would end, you should hurry up and upgrade to Windows 10 now while you still can.
