Build 19042.388 is somewhat a cumulative update (KB4565503) that brings multiple bug fixes. It bears no feature improvements or updates though.
Windows 10 20H2 build 19042.388 solves a OneDrive issue
Last week, Microsoft acknowledged a OneDrive access issue affecting Windows 10 2004 users. Particularly, the bug prevented OneDrive users from using the Files-On Demand feature. Similarly, it was impossible for these users to access synced files on Windows 10. The issue, which Microsoft attributes to legacy file system drivers on older machines or devices with legacy applications, is no more. The latest Windows 10 20H2 in the Beta Channel resolves these other issues:
Inability for Server Core platforms users to modify the system locale using PowerShell. Visual issues with certain games and apps during resizing in windowed mode or changing to window mode from full screen. Error code c0000008 associated with the failure of the Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS), which is essential to the Windows 10 log-in process. Microsoft had linked the bug to some of the June 9, 2020 Patch Tuesday updates. Inability for some apps to print documents with graphics or large files. Some of the June 9, 2020 updates caused the problem, according to Microsoft. Windows 10 20H2 build 19042.388 also brings security updates for multiple applications and platforms, including Windows App Platform.
With Microsoft adopting a new naming convention for its prerelease versions of Windows, we know that 20H2 represents an upcoming release between June and December this year.
