We reported back in September that the previous Windows 10 build 10547 was causing plenty of issues for those who installed it. And now it seems that those who installed the most recent Windows 10 build 10565 are having their share of problems, as well. If you too have been affected and you’re seeing various errors or problems with this build, then go ahead and leave your comment at the end so that we can create a central place with all the problems that are being reported. For now, here are the issues that we have managed to find with Windows 10 build 10565.

Bugs and issues in Windows 10 build 10565

These problems have been reported by my colleague Ivan who says he has been having connectivity problems after installing this build. Also, it seems that it took him quite a lot to install it, around 3 hours. He wasn’t able to connect to the Internet in the browser and the WiFi didn’t work. An Asus laptop owner claims he has a weird start up screen while restarting after he has updated to Windows 10 Build 10565. It also takes longer time to restart. You can have a look at this video below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6lcOCit7oI#t=45 Somebody else is complaining about the new title bar color in 10565 which apparently doesn’t work well with the dark theme – The new title bar color is nice, except that it does not work well with the dark theme, which is my preference. If I have to select an accent color, there isn’t one that is the same as the dark theme resulting in the task bar becoming a much lighter gray. Please add the option for this new feature to work with the dark theme without needing an accent color. Other users have been complaining about BSODs, with one of them saying – Since you pushed Build 10565 this morning, I have had the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH at least a dozen times. You start downloading (get to somewhere around 30%) then crash with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA. It took me a while to figure out the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH was happening because you pushed a build. You need to FIX THIS. I’m now trying to figure out how to make Windows stop trying to download the update.

A forum moderator has started an official thread for Blue Screen of Death errors caused by the most recent Windows 10 build, and if you’re affected, you can go ahead and read there for more details. Furthermore, Microsoft has also officially aknowledged other known issues in this build, as follows:

The search box does not work if you are in a locale where Cortana is not available. We are currently investigating workarounds. The Xbox app for Windows 10 will consume gigabytes of memory on your PC if you have any Win32 games (non -Windows Store games) installed on your PC that have been identified as games or added by you in the Xbox app. Closing the Xbox app will release your PC’s memory.

WebM and VP9 have been temporarily removed from the flight builds. We continue to develop a VP9 implementation that we intend to ship in Windows. Expect VP9 to return soon in a future release. Small form-factor devices, like the Dell Venue 8 Pro, that boot with rotation or virtual mode screen size set larger than the physical screen size will experience a bluescreen on upgrade and will roll back to the previous build.

Of course, when you agree to install builds, it means you know there’s going to be a great deal of problems. So, leave your input below and let us know how is this build treating you. READ ALSO: Fix: Outlook 2016 Crashes on Launch
