The Creators Update is the next major update to hit the Microsoft OS and it promises new 3D features along with advancements in security so that threats are easier detected and dealt with. Windows Defender, one of the services targeted by the update, will receive an upgraded ATP (advanced threat protocol) which will allow it to perform more actions in response to possible threats. This is possible due to Microsoft teaming up with FireEye and their iSIGHT technology to provide Windows 10 users better security solutions by enriching the already existing database for the Windows Defender application. With the help of FireEye, Microsoft is able to implement the necessary changes so that Windows Defender will more efficiently detect threats that2 previously would have presented a problem. With the Creators Update, Microsoft is trying to provide a little something for everyone that operates in a business environment or IT department. The update will provide “simplified IT” in relation to the Windows Analytics tool and also a means for IT departments within enterprises to administrate file protection and access capabilities for users within the organization. While there are many excited for what this new update will bring, they still have to wait a fair amount before actually getting their hands on the Creators Update. Microsoft has scheduled the update to hit in 2017. Users can take comfort in the fact that the update is all but guaranteed to make an appearance in the first half of 2017, so the wait won’t be unbearable.
