According to Microsoft, players using the service can experience 5% better framerate when playing games. While that doesn’t sound like a lot, it is quite huge for those just trying to get by.
Game Mode Test Results
The first tests occurred using the new Windows 10 Game Mode, but its results showed minimal improvements. There are a few crucial elements that need to be taken into consideration, however. For starters, the feature is in its earliest stages and its full capabilities are far from fully exploited. Secondly, the tests took place on a Windows Preview build which is by far the most optimal place to do tests. The main purpose of preview builds featured on the Insider platform and whatnot is to have them tested and cleared of issues. While there is no stable testing platform currently, we could potentially see the feature revisited once it is in a more advanced stage of development and is better able to produce higher performance when tested.
