And now, broken Outlook contacts search is one of the operating system’s latest side effects, according to users on the Microsoft Answers forum.

Outlook contacts search not working for Windows 10 May 2020 Update user

A Windows 10 May 2020 Update user has expressed their frustration with the inability to find contacts after searching their Outlook address book. The glitch started occurring after the Outlook user upgraded to the latest version of Windows 10 in general availability. So, when they now look up a contact by name or company, they get the typical no results response. It appears that the user wants to quickly access email recipients’ full contact details, including name, address, telephone number, etc. But they can’t do that due to the broken search issue. What’s even more frustrating to the user is that they know the contacts they’re searching for do exist. They just can’t find anything about them without scrolling down their contacts list. An independent advisor, who had reached out to help, tried changing the scope of the search to no avail. As a result, they resigned to filing a bug report with Microsoft. Have you installed the Windows 10 May 2020 Update yet? Any difficulty executing search in Outlook so far? If anything comes up, don’t hesitate to reach out via the comments section below.
