As is the case with just about any cumulative update for Windows 10, KB4013429 doesn’t add any new features but instead improves existing ones. Additionally, if you missed out on previously released cumulative updates, you’ll receive all those bug fixes with this one. As Microsoft didn’t release a cumulative update during February, the changelog of KB4013429 is quite long. The update is mainly focused on addressing the known issues of various components of Windows 10, including Remote Desktop crashes, text input errors, Internet Explorer crashes, and more. Additionally, the new update also brings a regular set of security updates for “Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Graphics Component, Internet Information Services, Windows SMB Server, Microsoft Windows PDF Library, Windows kernel-mode drivers, Microsoft Uniscribe, the Windows kernel, DirectShow, the Windows OS, and Windows Hyper-V.” This set of updates should further improve the overall system security. More specifically, Windows 10 update KB4013429 brings 33 fixes and improvements. For more details about the new cumulative update along with a full changelog, check out Microsoft’s official Windows Update History page. Besides cumulative update KB4013429 for Windows 10 version 1607, Microsoft also released new cumulative updates for two previous versions of the system. So, we have cumulative update KB4013198 for Windows 10 version 1511 and cumulative update KB4012606 for Windows 10 version 1507.
