Right now, users don’t have the option to uninstall Progressive Web Apps just like the other Windows 10 apps. This often leads to frustration to some extent. For example, right now users need to use the menu button to uninstall Chrome PWA. There is no option to uninstall Chrome PWAs from Control Panel, Settings, or the Start menu. Thankfully, the Redmond giant understood users’ concerns. It is now testing a new feature that allows the regular functionality to uninstall PWAs on Windows 10. The functionality is currently developed for the new Microsoft Edge browser and plans to extend it to other Chromium-based browsers as well. This feature has been confirmed after the tech giant posted a commit on Chromium Gerrit. Microsoft plans to release this feature to all Chromium-based browsers very soon. Microsoft is committed to improving the user experience for Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) in Windows 10. For those who are unaware, PWA is basically a web page that works in a similar manner to a regular app. Although they work similarly to a traditional web page, PWAs still offer various other important features. Some of these features are push notifications, offline support and more. You can also launch them from your Windows 10 home screen.
