Vkontakte is some sort of a local Facebook, similar to Odnoklassniki and is very popular in Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia, Moldova and other countries where there is a considerable number of Russian-speaking people. There are actually over 220 million with registered profiles, so there is quite a lot of interested for a Windows 8.1 app, as well. The multiple-sized Live Tiles are available, including the big one. Also, there’s split screen support. The VKontakte app for Windows 8.1 is very similar to the Windows Phone 8 version.
