It is no secret that Microsoft has already given up on the Windows Mobile Platform but it had earlier promised to keep the platform afloat by supporting it with important fixes. Strangely enough, a group of people started complaining about People app sync problem on Windows 10 Mobile, an issue that is apparently affecting a large sect of non-insiders.

As per the Windows 10 Mobile users contacts are disappearing in the People app. The worst part is that the problem only seems to be affecting the Windows 10 Mobile users and not the desktop users. Users who are facing this problem are still able to log in to their People account from the desktop with the same Microsoft account. This is what a Redditor had to say about the People app problem: All of this happened without the user making any changes and it seems like it is a server side issue. At this juncture, the only workaround is syncing the contacts with Microsoft People app. Microsoft is yet to confirm about the bug but being a server-side issue I am pretty sure that it may be sorted out on a priority basis. Microsoft has been working on bringing new updates for the People app on Windows 10 PC’s but they seem to be neglecting the Windows Mobile Platform. The least that Microsoft can do is to ensure that the basic functionality on the Windows Mobile works as intended and glitches if any are resolved on priority. The Windows Mobile market share is dwindling daily, recently Microsoft confirmed that they will be pulling the plug from Windows Mobile and will not be working on software or hardware updates. Windows Mobile accounts for a meagre 0.3 percent of the market and is on the verge of becoming extinct.
