The official YouTube application for Xbox One was updated to be able to support 4K resolution. You probably now that fans who had the 4K capable Xbox One S were forced to use it without 4K YouTube support since the console was launched. Another option that these users had available was to turn to different alternatives including myTube. Fortunately, Google is now updating its official application for both Xbox One S and Xbox One X as well.
The new YouTube app essential features
The official YouTube app will include 4K resolution support and 60 FPS, but unfortunately, it will not feature support for HDR as well at least not at this moment. Some other apps do support both 4K resolution and support for HDR and one of them is Netflix. But, on the other hand, watching 4K 60 FPS content especially while playing video games is without a doubt a really significant improvement if you have a high-quality display.
The update is currently rolling out
The update for the official YouTube app is rolling out for everyone in a gradual process. So, if you do not see the update available just yet on your console, don’t worry because this means that you just have to wait a bit longer to receive it. You can order the Xbox One X 1TB console for $499.00 and enjoy the world’s most powerful console. You will be able to experience the genuinely immersive 4K gaming and 40% more power than with any other console. RELATED STORIES TO CHECK OUT:
